Made in West Germany suggests the scope has at least 17 years on it. S&B's come with a 30 year guarantee, so it's halfway through its protected life. S&B's are in the same league as Zeiss and Swarovski - I'd have a an old one of these scopes ahead of a brand new scope made by any of the other manufacturers any day.
Called a dealer in the UK early this morning (FA Anderson) and they claim that Schmidt & Bender is backlogged with military orders for the next 9 months! Too bad...
As for your model, I agree that it's either Classic or Zenith... Show us other angles.
It's not a Zenith, older version of the Classic 1.5-6x.
As Jess points out it was made in West Germany so that puts it as having a few years on it. The older models do not have as much eye relief as the newer ones. I think your scope should have 3.25 or 3.5 inches of eye relief versus 3.75 in the newer Classic and Zenith.
It's possible that your scope may have a "slightly" wider field of view than the newer scopes due to the difference in eye relief but I'm not sure on that.
Either way it is a quality piece of glass and looks to be in very good condition?
