School me: dump pouches

We have a number of guys who use the Blue Force Gear SSE/light dump pouch.

It's there when and if you need/want it, however it's extreme low profile makes it easy to add to your gear and carry around on belt or carrier.

Going with a big one is a pain if it's not something you're using all the time.

In use with US Rangers and a number of CF units.

Use to work prior to body armor...

I use the BFG SSE pouch off my belt.

Never put empty mags back in pouches - bad juju

Or CF where you didn't get a fitted flak vest and only works only if you tuck in your shirt. I'm only joking. I used a eagle. Worked okay. Bit bulky.

I use a big lobster trap type one. Right now it's in the back of my vest but I will likely switch this to my battle belt when I set that up. Hangs over my weak side arse cheek. Pretty much required for Service Rifle. If you drop your empties you won't have them for subsequent stages. I try to never put empty mags in my pouches personally like others have said. I also use it to store my ears, gloves, shemag etc between match events and range trips. Useful for brass clean up to. Just darn handy.

I use the same style and pretty much like Bolivar, only more to the side. I too store my earmuffs in it between match events and range trips. I keep a small hammer in it for tapping open a stuck AR bolt if needed. I use it for CQB matches and SR matches. I actually would not be without one. YMMV.
