School me in the Rem 760 Gamemaster in 300 Savage

I have one....my first rifle that my Father bought me! Great round if you use 150 grains, I think it lacks the velocity for 180s. Find a spare mag marked 300 Sav or 35 rem, as new .308 mags don't work in the old 760s.

Thanks patricksbb391 for the info on the magazines. I have found that one mag is all I've ever used. Bought lots of spare mags over the years, but never used them....crash60

That's a new one to me.

I had a 760 in 35Rem. rechambered to 358Win. way back in the 90s. Just plugged in a 308 mag and it worked fine.
