School me on black powder barrels for encore rifle receivers

So I have a plain Jane blued Thompson encore rifle. Iam wanting to get a .50cal black powder barrel for it. Now I know they can be had with removeable breech plug for easier cleaning and what not. I also know that there are different priming systems. I will be looking for something used or new depending what I can find.

So what Iam looking for is defiantly removable breech plug for ease of cleaning but would like to know what will fit as the encore has been made for a long time and what primer system is best thanks in advance

I believe all Encore barrels are interchangeable, but others here can confirm. I recommend the speed breach with a 209 primer such as you'd find on a Encore Pro hunter.

Ya that’s what I was thinking but after some reading just now on the net there are a few differences on the receivers so now Iam going to have too identify my receiver as Iam not sure if a blued pro hunter receiver or an actual encore receiver. I just picked up the rifle today it does have the flex tec stocks and the extra webbing on sides of frame. So iam thinking it will accept later encore barrels as well as pro hunter I pick up the rifle tommorrow as only had limited cash on hand and my bud wanted cash. I think it was a steal at 700 in 30-06 with sites and scope base it appears unused
