School me on the 375 win please

I got one a while ago and just got to the range with it. At 50 yards with 220 hornady I am getting cloverleafs. I just need to work with the sights to get the cloverleaf over the bull all the time. My target had two cloverleafs. So it is me not the gun or the load.

It hates my 255gr cast bullet loads. All over the place. Have to try a different powder charge.

I had similar experiences with cast bullets at first. Throttling way back was the ticket around 1500 ft/s iirc and then the cast bullets grouped very well. (375win Marlin microgroove barrel, .375 hard cast gas checks from the bullet barn)

I use the same 265 gr. boolit from Bullet Barn pushed at 1500 fps. & it works great in my 94 BB. I also will get a mold to up the ante' to a 285 gr. flat base boolit moved along at the same,1500 fps.
Being a flat base design, the loads I use will stay right within 20,000 psi. to avoid base distortion & reduce blow-by.
;)

At least you can use the same dies to load either . My buddy has a .375 and RE#7 was the best powder for the 220 FP .Winchester used to offer a factory 250gr in the .375 Me i use my late Grandpa's 1894 38-55
