School Shooting?

Re: getting kids to help

Getting into schools is tough. We offered to buy a year book ad for from one of our juniors and were turned down because of a lack of knowledge and probably a lot of pre-conceived ideas on the part of the school administrators. Our offer was taken from the classroom teacher to the principal, to the superintendent, to the school council and was turned down.

Clubs should pursue this particularly with secondary and university year books. It's good exposure for the club, and will help break down the guns=bad preconception that is prevalent everywhere

That is nuts. I have seen ad's for the local liquor store in highschool yearbooks. Sure they say "don't drink and drive" but high school kids should not be in the liquor store at all!!.

Back on topic... our local cadet corp has voulenteered to assist with local matches. They use the range area for camping sometimes(the uprange side... sheesh) It is a good way to get new members and a chance for the kids to see what is available in our small town.

Did you get to make a presentation?

I might have trouble at the board level because they are in London.

However the School should be ok as many of the kids shoot in our Junior Program and one of the coaches works in the office.

According to Trinity Angel the Teacher is now fully onside. She gave him a copy of the IPSC promo video to take a look at.

Looks like Spring 2006 perhaps April or so........

First Annual EESA/EESS Drama Daze!!!

In a Spring Match I could forsee at least 15 or 16 stages.........should be challenging to say the least. Hell almost LIII in proportions!!! Hmmmm maybe I am biting off more than I can chew..........EESA only has 4 actual Range officers including me and no current CRO ( although I am a CRO canidate).

Hell, why not try to get Level III approval...if you need R.O.'s you know Windsor has tons of R.O.'s and a couple of CRO's... you know us we're happy to travel up the 401.... and of course all of the other helpful R.O. out there who normally pitch in...

I might just do that............

Hmm first Ever EESA L3 has a nice ring to it.......

However a small ( READ HUGE) wrinkle showed up last night.

It seems that the school play that the kids have selected might not fit well within our plans.

I have requested they "reconsider" their selection as it is not written in stone.

I will keep everybody posted on progress.

If you put together 12 plus stages you have a level III match... which means that you have to get international sanctioning and that can take some time but if you think you guys can do it ...go for it...you got my help
