That's exactly the one I suggested in previous posts was an M88, although it is not entirely clear what that is. What is known, is that no one knows of a model of Schultz and Larsen to which it might belong other than M70, M77, and M88.
 
I agree the barrel is turned down, you can tell by the pressed on FSB. Action is just a tweaked M70/77... for what purpose I dunno.
What ever LC has, it's an M70/77 barreled action in a fancy stock.
Are the "rare" ones not those double set trigger, dual lug bolt models with full adjustable stocks, rails, etc?

It is quite "tweaked". It has two action screws forward of the trigger, which is different than the others shown, and as there is no barrel lug the barrel is fully floated.

OK...new theory lol.
Front M70 trigger hole is the new action screw, hence shorter trigger unit.
New barrel or turned down barrel to remove dovetail cut.

A good theory. Does it account for the front sight that is made for the slimmer contour barrel?

I've seen one other S&L that had two action screws in front of the trigger. I had this rifle for a short time but did not take any pictures of the trigger or action screw lay out. It had a barrel the same diameter as the receiver.

Could be turned down with it on, could be sleeved, could be left the larger contour just under it, could be a new FSB blank drilled to fit the new profile barrel.
Hard to say without holding it in hand.
I'd like to know what shooting club that one at Tradex came from...
 
Receiver looks the same as any M70, same distance between the bolt O/D and the front ring O/D. M70 barrels are pretty straight profile...

These triggers don't seem to be uncommon. Last fall I bought two rifles with that trigger. Danish club shooters no doubt had the ability to make improvements in the triggers. It would appear to be a modification of the more commonly found M70 or M77 trigger like the one below.

Did they say anything about the one you picked up? M70/77 in that fancy stock?

I know a lot of the Tradex pieces come from Sweden, they also used S&L rimfires in their clubs. Some weird law that you can only own 8 rifles or something, so when someone wants to acquire new, they have to dump one if they are at the limit already.
I have 8 of the M70/77 (4 of each). The nicest is a late M77, one of the last 100 they made. Came in a nice walnut stock opposed to the beech usually found on them. Oddly it's the best shooting one as well.
 
Strange... Every time I try to post a pic, it locks up this page and will not fully load.

I sent them all the pics of the mystery gun from this page and the Director of S&L replied stating its a model 71. I did not ask about my rifle..... Its an M88.
