I mentioned in another posters thread that I had this Schultz & Larsen match rifle coming and I wasn't sure what model it is. Well it came today so I'm posting some pics. I found on another forum that it might be a model M49 but not sure. I like the rifle and it has a pretty nice bore. But onto the problems it has. In the listing it was mentioned that the bolt cycled a bit stiff. Well, yes it does. In fact to the point that if in the shooting position you can hardly pull it back. Also, the gun does not #### no matter what I do. I can cycle the bolt and pull the trigger and there is nothing. I don't know if I'm not doing something right with the triggers or ?. I tried adjusting the adjusting screw all the way in, all the way out and in between but it made no difference. I don't see a safety anywhere so I'm assuming it doesn't have one. It's hard to tell sometimes if you hear the firing pin let go when the bolt is pushed all the way forward or if it's just the sound of the extractors engaging into place.
Also, the set screw that holds the buttplate hook secure does not work. It does not come far enough through the outer housing to catch the butt hook. I showed a pic of the screw. Is there supposed to be a nub on the end of the screw?
I like the rifle but I have a feeling it will be going back unless someone can tell me if I'm doing something wrong.
