No, but that is pretty. I thought about doing one of my hawkens like that once but it is not the same. I am thinking about a peep sight though.

It looks like a modern copy of the Swiss pattern of 1851 muzzle loading rifle. If completely accurate to detail, the rear barrel should be calibrated in "schritte" which is a swiss pace of about 28"

You are right, it is a copy of the 1851 "Schweizer Feldstutzer", apparently the most advanced muzzle loader of it's time.
It was produced by Vollmer in Germany in 1977 (that's when I bought it), and I imported it into Canada nearly 30 Years ago.
Comes with a hollow base bullet mould in 10.4 mm caliber.

This rifle was produced in a limited edition of 1250 rifles, and mine is #298.

Should be quite lively to shoot - even though it has some weight - 92.6gr of 'black powder' shooting a 385gr projectile.......

I don't use this "stiff" load.

What works very well are patched .40cal 180grs bullets, over 60 grs of FFg.
