Scientific study puts an end to .308/.270/30-06 debate!

Around here .300WM or 7mm does make sense if you want an "all-around gun". But... I don't like my guns to make sense. I like my 8x57 because it makes the FUDDs think "8x57? WTF is that?" Plus it's a good compromise between .30 and .338.

I was drawn for elk this fall and its a toss up between the .270 or .280 (troll). Maybe even the whelen. Just to be a troll, I think I will go with the .280. I will save the .257 roberts for deer season.

An endless but enjoyable argument. Of the calibres mentioned in the original post, let one person on this thread admit that they can take any animal on Canadian soil with one, but not any of the three. The silence is deafening!

That will work. Hunter orange hat should be added for effect.

Or pizz em off and have a "Successful Ontario Deer Hunter" crest on your blaze cap... you'll hear them muttering... if you don't catch it, they said "friggin' Liberals..."

Lottza liberals down east as well. NDP has some level of popularity as well.

I used to hear guys bash the long gun registry and the PC at the same time.

Man I never realized how "sensitive" some of you guys from the west coast are......... people are just having fun with yhe size of your guns and game..... no need to get all bent out of shape.;)

It's mind boggling. Then again I saw a kid at the store in Clyde the other day with " '12 Graduate " tattooed across the top of his shoulders. So really, one shouldn't expect too much. That's only one step higher than having "Ricky" on one arm and "Grade 10" on the other.

His mother did the Grade 10 tattoo a family BBQ... she was so proud... first one to highschool.
