Scope Adjustments Seized

I have just got an older Bushnell scope that appears to be in good condition but the L/R and elevation adjustments are seized. By seized I mean really stuck hard. I have taken the two set screws out to remove the “dial” and underneath it was “gummy”. Surface cleaning was not effective and neither was a small dose of cleaning fluid. I have used far more force that was probably wise and I am ready to admit defeat. Suggestions? Comments?

you can try sending it in for Bushnell warranty, though if they think you have done some disassembly they may not provide warranty and then you will need to buy yourself a new scope. Something like a Vortex:cool:

How about a larger dose of cleaning fluid, or even something like "Move It", or WD40, let it sit for a bit, blow it out with compressed air ... repeat until you run out of patience. I'm not sure how kindly the Bushnell warranty folks look upon efforts at home repair, but hey, you're already into it.
