Scope and magnification suggestion needed

Want to try long range shooting,out to 750 to a 1000 yards
Just built a 7wsm with a 1 in 9 twist.
BUT!!! if I dont like it I still want too be able to use it for hunting out too
say 500 yards.
Mainlly need suggestions on what magnification I should be looking for,
and what reticle?
I would like a side parrallax, and thinking about a mil dot reticle.But open for suggestions.
Dont need to be brand specific,I have a limited budget(1000$),and I guarantee it
WONT BE A LEUPOLD!!(LOL).

Vortex has a new HS LR 4-16 model that came out this year that looks interesting, in that 900 range.
Burris M-Tac or C4 4.5-14 would be something else to check out, they also have some new models this year (check website ).
Nikon monarch 4-16 mildot too.
Zeiss HD5 3-15 is another one, bit over your budget but the odd one for sale under 1k, mostly 5-25 for some reason.

I'm not a big fan of Leupold either and under 1k any if these should fit your needs. Have fun.
