I did a search on this topic and found that the last thread was 5 years ago. Has anyone had experience with these? I think the standard model is the one developed by Gene Davis and marketed by Bulzeyepro.com, and there may have been some developments and improvements in these devices since 2011, when the last thread appeared here. Evidently at one time (maybe around 2009), they were being imported for sale in Canada. Anyone know whether this is still true?

I looked into them a while ago, they have some downsides. They really cut down eye relief, and they magnify your crosshairs, so while you gain magnification, your crosshairs become wider and cover more of your target. Depending on the model, they don't boost the magnification a whole lot.

I thought it sounded like a great idea, have a lower mag scope, like a 2-12 and boost it for load development etc.

Yes, as I understand it, their 4X model boosts magnification by .4. So theoretically anyway, a 25X scope is boosted to 35X (.25 x 1.4). The 3.5X model boosts magnification by .35, so that the 25X scope is boosted to 33.75 power. These seem like worthwhile power boosts if the other factors--like a less-bright image--don't detract too much from the overall visual experience.
