Somehow lost/misplaced my Bushnell 4200 eyepiece scope cap cover. Measured the outside diameter of the eyepiece, it was 1.54", off to SAIL I go and purchase a Butler Creek Blizzard cap.
I forget the exact model number but it does say right on the box that it's made to fit eyepieces from 1.50"-1.59". I place it on the eyepiece, a little bit of a tight fit but not too much.
Now I click it shut, it stays put for 2-3 seconds then pops up again... I tried placing it deeper and shallower, still the same result. Should I exchange for the next size up and perhaps make up the difference with electrical tape?
Is the tight fit causing this to happen, or will it correct with time? Thanks.
