Ever been to Nova Scotia? Some places don't have room for another two steps.

A 18$ scope cap on a 450$ optic seems reasonable to me. Why even risk it?

there's a reason the boys down the South Shore sit in a glorified outhouse waiting to assassinate some unsuspecting deer over a pile of apples. They country isn't walk and stalk country.

That said, my scope covers stay at camp.

Put some electrical tape around the scope bell and eyepiece to increase the circumference for a tighter fit. I haven't had issues with any of my buttler creep caps pulling off.

I have 2 sets of Butler Creeks, and had to use electrical tape on them to keep from partially pulling off every time I wanted to pop them open. I've read of people using hairspray to make them stick in place, but I don't have any hair anymore LMAO.
I run Tenebraex on my better quality scopes, and really like them. They'll be my go-to going forward.

I have butler creek on most of my scopes and they are decent for the price but they don't lay flat which can be annoying.

I have a a set of leupold caps on my 2.5-8. I bought them after breaking many buttler creek cheap ones.
I’ve had them for 8 years or so.

I didn’t pay’s todays price. It’s getting steep.
Still the best thing you can get I think.
