scope caps

I have Butler Creek ones on all of mine and I'm happy with them. The Leupold ones look nice but not at that price for me.

Hey , what’s the purpose anyway? Lol

Scratching the lens or something?
I had a couple of 1-6 s that came with pretty half decent flip ups but I find them annoying.
Might try another set

Have 6 or 7 sets of aluminas and lots of butler creeks. Aluminas aren't cheap but far better than anything else if you have a leupold scope.

You can get the set for $139 if you look around.

Butler Creek lowered the quality about 10-15 years ago... the Vortex defenders are lifetime guaranteed, that and the fact they fold flat are worth the extra $40 to me.

This X 2! Taenebrex are also excellent but not cheap. They’re Canadian and lifetime warranty

Ever been to Nova Scotia? Some places don't have room for another two steps.

A 18$ scope cap on a 450$ optic seems reasonable to me. Why even risk it?

Ha, I hunt in NB and have the same thought... hunting in the bush especially with snow or rain, it's some nice to have caps on.

I bought a used rifle recently that came with a damaged scope. The ring area around the front objective lense is dented in pretty good from a good hit of some sort... if the scope had had decent rubber scope caps when it got impacted it would have been protected. The caps don't just protect the lenses, they also act like bumpers.

I have zeiss flip caps, tenebraex, swaro and have used alumina nd vortex in the past. The cost I spent is proportionate to the value of the scope. It kills me to see cheap butler creek on a $5000 Optic. Butler creek is one cap I refuse to use. Breaks extremely easily in cold temps.

You could always try some AADmount caps. I would like to try a set myself, I have butler creek caps and Alumina caps, both have worked great over the years, broke a few butler creek ones but they work.

I have a few of those rubber l'astick sort the are attached to'n fro with the rubber strap.
This is connected to another lastick band that is attached to one around the forestock.
Flip the back cover wid yer tumb and the whole thing swishes over the side out of the way.

Forget the name of them.
They came in different lense sizes.

Works like a hawt damn.
