Hi Everyone,

Just looking for some information, went through the stickies, and tried a search for this but couldn't find anything...

I just purchased a Simmons 3-9x32 for my Savage MkII. I was wondering if it's okay to leave the scope magnified (7-9x) for storage, or if it's like a click-type torque wrench where you need to leave it at it's minimum setting.

Sorry for the goofy question, I'd just rather take care of it rather than risk something dumb happening.

Cheers!

I always leave mine on the lowest setting, just cause ya never know if the fur
is going to be reeeeeal close.
As far as your question, I think you're thinking too much. :)
Put them on the low setting and feel good about it.
Cheers.

Beauty! I realize it may be too miniscule to matter, but as much as I love throwing money into this hobby, I hope to only spend that money once haha

Thanks for the help Kamlooky!

You might want to keep the horizontal and vertical knobs from their bottomed position on the scope for storage, as this leaves the springs in a compressed state on most scopes, and could weaken them.
