Well I ended up with a Red scope. Its a really nice scope (Leupold VXIII 8.5-25x50) ....but its red. I talked to Leupolds custom shop and they advised that it is not a good idea to re-anodize it as it can mess up the tolerances.
I have pondered the idea of selling it, trading it, painting it or just leaving it as it is.. Not really a big fan of leaving it red but i just can't bring myself to paint a $1200 scope. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Any way of coating it that would be durable and look nice while not destroying its function or value? Or should I just trade it away?
