Scope colour change

Even if you get $1000 for it, its a grand you didn't have a week ago and you're not going to use the scope anyway...

How durable is that finish?

It is a commercial grade finish that is extremely durable. We use the same process for coating the rest of the firearm and we do a lot of scopes. You also have a wide variety of patterns to choose from with over 170 and 50 of them are camouflage. if the rifle you want to mount it on is camo now there is a real good chance we could either match it or come real close to it. This link will take you right to our patterns page so you can see what is available.

If you decide that you want to keep the scope a change the look, we can definitely help out.

Trevor, what about the paint thickness? Can you apply paint where the scope ring goes? Would this require lapping the rings to a larger size?

Thank you for your question Phil, we coat the entire body of the scope, the thickness of the coating is such that it does not affect any performance between the scope and a properly fitted set of rings. when we process rings, we always mask the internal side of the rings this maintains proper tolerances between the scope and the rings to ensure the scope and rings function as they should with no movement or recoil slipage.
