I have a NightForce NXS 5.5x22x50, and am looking to sell her to fund another project. Problem is I need a scope! I love my NightForce, but at this stage I am thinking I can sell her, buy another slightly cheaper scope and then have a little extra coin for another project. Does anyone have any recommendations on a way I can go, ie. Leupold, Bushnell, etc. Or if I should just keep her seeming as shes a beauty! Cheers!

I have a Vortex Viper 30mm tube in a 6.5-20X50 with the BDC reticle, it is a great scope, it tracks well, has shot the box several times at varying distances perfectly, and is only about $500 new. Is it in the same category as your NightForce? I don't think so! But still a great scope.

I also own a Vortex Razor 5-20X50 in a 35mm tube, with the EBR2-MRAD reticle, I just got it mounted and I am headed to the range this weekend, I anticipate good results. At $2200 retail, I would say this scope is comparable to your NightForce.

I do not own one yet, but I have seen and looked through several Vortex Viper PSTs, and at about $1000 retail for the 6-24X50 FFP, I think they are excellent value for the money, but I will with hold further comment until I get a chance to shoot and test it.

I don't think you would be disappointed to go to a Vortex scope, but for the money you will get for your current NightForce, will there be enough cash left over from the purchase of ANY replacement anywhere near similar quality to justify the loss of your current "beauty"? Tough call.

I did a side by side comparison with the same model NXS you have and the then brand new Sightron SIII LR 6-24X50 at just over 1100yds. The SIII beat it comfortably in image quality and resolution.

I have now used these scopes for over 1 year with ALOT of dialing for LR shooting and F class competition. Tracking has been superb and dead on reliable.

For less then 1/2 the price of the NF, I most certainly do not regret not buying one.

Let me know... Free shipping on instock scopes.
