Good thread BIGBREDD.

I got kissed on sun. By a 3200 elite on a .35 whelen. No cut. I re adjusted her. Should be fine now. I think many have preceeded any many will follow. Sometimes we need to learn the hard way. LOL.

Dave.

This is the reason I name my guns after woman. Who else would kiss and kick you in the face all at once? Why else would we keep coming back for more? It's pain, but it's a good pain.

My buddy put the stock of his gun above his shoulder to scope an elk to count the points . Well he counted to 5 and pulled the trigger. There isn't much resistance when the butt is above your shoulder but there sure is alot of blood!!! Oh, he missed and I was laughing so hard I didn't get a shot off.

Another thing to remember..... :!:
Whenever you take someone to the hospital for stitches... or anything else to do with hunting or shooting for that matter... do not say the word "firearm" or "gun"... say they hit thier head on a pipe or something. :?
The incident will go into the statistics as a "firearms related injury" if you say gun or firearm....

I call it 'SCOPE RASH'.

I got that once, shooting a Mossberg .338 mag, from a bench and I was knealing. 1st shot the rifle recoiled and the scope caught me above the left eye.

Doug, I know who you're talking about.

RePete.

I've had a few scope tatoo's in the past with my Winchester 88 and 100's in 358 and 284.It was my fault as the bench I was target shooting from was too low and that puts your head in a dif position and closer to the scope.Drawn blood as well.Didn't know it even happened until I looked at the table and saw a little blood on it.
Lesson learned.Make sure your table is high enough.

We refer to this condition as "acute scopetosis"!

Another friend calls it " the order of the red crescent"!
I kinda like that one!

Shortebd the stock on Oldbadger's Sako 338 Lapua for him.
It fit him perfectly then. and he had not trouble shooting it.
Me?
Blackened boith eyes with the first shot!
Forgot that i had shortened it by about 1"!!
Haven't shot it since......

Can't say as I have been cut. I've found though that I can't line up properly through my glasses so I always look over them when shooting. Not sure how but i do. The closest I have come was with my mod 70 30-06 always shooting the hottest loads I could buy I have since bought a 300wby and found it kicks less then the 06 did. But I also made sure I bought a scope with lots of eye relief 8) .

i can't say that i ahve been tagged by a scope but my win 94 gets me every now and then if i am not carefull if i forget to keep my nose away from my thumb they always seem to meet when i pull the trigger
