Scope-Eye...

Haven't been cut but did have my hat shoved back pretty good. I also have to shoot with glasses . Is there any particular system out there set up for those of us who are ocularly imparred ??

Do shell burns count , To this day I don't know how it happened but I did end upwith a 12 ga go down the back of my neck and leave a perfect circle burn that you could read the name and guage like a tattoo.

scope cut

I had a fellow at the range wanting to shoot a big gun and he wanted to shoot the .375 H&H Model 70 that I had out that day. I warned him repeatedly about keeping proper distance from the scope. After a few minutes of telling me that he has fired big guns before I let him fire a round. The 270 grainer went down range and he stood up and there was a good run of blood coming down the bridge of his nose. I gave him a ride home and called him the next day and he told me that he got 9 stitches and the pain was not that bad. I felt really crappy but he was surprisingly ok with it and admitted that it was his fault for not paying more attention. Thats the last time anyone shoots my rifles because I think I felt worse about it than he did. It still makes me feel bad to remember seeing the blood all over his face and the looks of astonishment from his companions. I saw him again and he even asked me for the empty .375 case and I gave it to him, I guess he wants it to add to his story. :!:

I've never had a real problem with any scopes and eye marks , but others that use my gun do all the time :? I have seen more Blood fly with my turkey gun then any other firearm I got.

Now I'll tell you what I did have a problem with ,, and that was Did have, was shooting my Slug gun for years and would punch myself in the noise with my forthumb. I hated it and it was always on my mined every time I shot the son of a #####. Well the new setup is no problem and got through with 6 shots and no sore nose , so ya got to like that

Come to think about it , I think I did get wacked by a friends rifle one time, but it just indented my Brow and never cut it, but I always set my scopes up the way I intend to use them...BT

Tried a Sako TRG in 338 Lapua from a bench. I saw the scope coming the minute I touched off the round. Caught me square in the bridge of my nose, breaking it as well as cutting it. Glasses on the ground, blood all over my face. I had to laugh, it was my own fault, I should have had a better grip on it.
