Scope for 300yards 223

Yeah that might be a lot of money......

I use a Vortex Razor 20-60 spotting scope to do that.

If your looking for a decent scope to target shoot with is recommend a 4.5-14 Bushnell legend or 5-15 Elite. I run a Crossfire II 6-18 on my 223 and it’s okay, but eye fatigue happens at higher magnification and yeah.

If budget is a factor then an 8x32 40 Bushnell Elite 4200 is great value for shooting paper to 300 yards. I have been using one for shooting a 223 at paper for over 8 years and it has served its purpose well.
There is not a lot of vertical adjustment and the recticle is a little heavy but the glass is clear, not that far off my Sightron SIII or DMRs.

For your purpose, if you can pick one up used on the EE, it would be ideal and there will be no need for a spotting scope to see your hits.

SightronSIII, FFP 6-24x second hand scope on my Tikka T3 tac, really pleased with it. I like glass better than the glass on my Nightforce scopes ( an SHV and an older NXS scope. If you are shooting PRS lack of Zero stop would be a negative though.

I'd still go for the SIghtron SIII if I had a choice but the price is getting up there I bought mine used on EE and am very happy with it and the price..
