Well now that I have purchased the gun,I am having a tough time deciding on the scope.I am considering the Leupold Mark 4,Zeiss Conquest,Zeiss Diavari,Nightforce and S&B,all with maximum magnifications in the 16x to 24x range. Each has good features, and the price range varies considerably, and I am hoping to find a good price on a new one,or a good price on a used one in the EE.Which scope would you purchase for non competitive target work or use on coyotes or game to at least 500 meters, perhaps a little farther?

on that price range I would use mark 4. Mind you I been a fan of leupold for along time because of the warranty and being in alberta. However I will consider buying a nightforce with the same option and price of leupold(side focus)

I have a NF 8x32, would definitely recommend. But then, my old eyes ain't what they used to be, plus I like when stuff looks big behind the crosshair....the old 'aim small, miss small' thing :)

Mark 4s are good scopes for a decent price, but I am a little concerned with how the eye relief changes as the magnification is varied.I sold a VXIII 6.5-20x40,and a VXII 4-12x40, for that exact reason.I am wondering if the Mark 4 suffers as much from this design flaw.

If I can find a great deal on a S&B it would be my top choice at this point, but full retail is a little steep for me.If I have to pay full price,I am leaning towards the Conquest.6.5-2-x50.There are however a couple of deals on the Zeiss Diavari 6-24x56,that are interesting.Having to decide between MOA or CM graduations is complicating things.

I have a few NXS Nightorce scopes and love them. Ive also had in the past a couple Mrk 4 scopes and they were great scopes as well, got rid of them only because they didn't have the lit recticals. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the brands you mentioned. Good luck! You will love the 6.5x47 Lapua it is one heck of a caliber.

Message me, i will show you some good prices on Zeiss, leupold, etc..................
I have been using Zeiss and have no issues with em, prefer them over the N.American glass.
