I have a CZ 550FS in 9,3x62, I'm gonna go moose hunting with it.
What would you put over it to make it look nice but also to make sure that you use the full potential of that cartridge?
Thanks

I too would go for a small scope - something along the lines of a 1-4x20 or similar. Compact, light and fairly low powered. It would not detract from the looks of the full stocked rifle yet still give you all the magnification you'll really need with that cartridge. The 9.3x62 is not a long distance, high velocity sniper round so keep the scope small and your shots placed correctly and within reasonable ranges and you'll be very happy with it.

Full stock carbine rifles look "right" with a straight tube scope like a 1.5x5 or 1x4 Leupold.

Other, larger scopes look stoopid, big, heavy, weird, gaudy, ignorant, trailer trashy, goofy and down right out of place on this classic style rifle.

.

Maybe a bushnell 4200 1-4. It's illuminated, and a 30 mm tube, so you'll get the 24mm objective.

i WOULD ORDER FROM YOUR CZ DEALER A MEOPTA( made in Check republic) SCOPE AND CZ RINGS AND MOUNTS!! Go to the CZ web page and look at all your options, yes you will pay more than a Leopold but the glass is Ziess quality for alot less than those german scopes go for. But if you have the money why not buy a Ziess!! I have 2 Meopta scopes from the 1950's and the quality compares still to modern day glass, plus if you ever go to sell your gun in the future with all these CZ company extra features you will not ever regret your investment, Dale in T-Bay

how much do you want to spend / what can you afford ?

a 100.00 budget will get you something completely different from a 5000.00 budget .
