Scope for a .22 Stoeger X-20...????

I just picked up a .22 Stoeger X-20. I got it for whacking rats or an other pests around the yard I dont need a rimfire for. The open sights on it are decnt and am what i'm going to use on it for now. I was wondering about a scope for it though. The dealer I got it from will give me a Stoeger 3-9x40 "air rifle" scope and the Stoeger rings that are designed to lock into place on that rifel for $100. I've also been looking at the BSA air rifle scopes. I have a bunch of decen t scopes just dont want to wreck one by putting it on a springer air rifle. Any options or suggestions?

There are lots of scopes out there that will work, just make sure it is rated for a springer and has AO. Leapers, NcStar, Hawke all come to mind.
