Scope for a Rimfire

My son has that 22...he is using a cheap knock off leopold red dot at the moment, mostly uses it rabbit hunting. When we go plinking he has a Tasco 3x9 rimfire, I use 3x9 simmons and a trs25 red dot hunting.

Nikon P-Rimfire 2-7x32mm (BDC 150 reticle) is on sale right now for $180 ($80 off) at Cabela's. Bass Pro will match the price.

Also...the Nikon P-223 3-9x40mm (BDC 600 reticle) is on sale for $200 ($80 off) at Cabela's.

For up to a 100 yards a Bushnell Banner will serve your needs, if you want to go out to 200 yards and shoot with good ammo, a leopold or other good scope will be better for you.

Just picked up the P-Rimfire last night. I have a coupon good for in store purchases only that knocked the price down another $20. It is good through Feb. 1st on any purchase over $150. If you want it, just send me an email at seanmmclancy@gmail.com.
$159 is a SMOKIN' deal. I would have liked the Nikoplex one with the yardage on the top turret. Hoping I can score a High Velocity turret and try it out.
Abbotsford still has them in stock.

For a little more money and if your into accuracy I found this great for bullseye on a budget:

Mueller Target Dot Rifle Scope,, 8-32 x 44mm

Hi first off you want to find a scope with a fine cross hair . Its hard to see a ground hog with regular or large cross hairs at 50 meteres 3x9 is good ,I have a Redfield 3x12 that works great. Another scope that is excellent is a Bushnell legend HD 4.5X14, of the two I prefer the Bushnell

If you're not wanting to spend alot maybe look into the scorpions. I've read a few bad reviews on them but heard lots of good things as well. I won a marksman 3-9 in a shoot last year and thought I'd give it a try on my marlin 60. It's actually a pretty decent little scope. It has the mildots and they are right on out to 200 yds (hit a 10" plate every shot anyway)using CCI mini mags. I think they're around the $100 range and have great warranty. Stan at hunters Haven in Wingham told me any problems with it just bring to him and he ll hand me a new one no questions asked. They're not a Nikon by any means but still a good scope for the price. Just seen on their website they have their stinger 3-9x40 on for $119 right now. Comes with 22lr turret and free shipping.

thanks for the suggestion on the scorpion marksman ,put one on a 10 22 and I like it.$ 79 including rings. I agree these semi auto 22s are inexpensive no need to go for expensive glass.

I'm disappointed Nikon stopped production of their fixed 4x prostaff rimfire,it listed for a little over $100. I'd take that over a variable any day..
