Yep like the titile says, whats a good scope for a 3030, got it when i was 21, i am 54 now, and no more than 120 have ever been put threw it, yes knowing the round count is not needed, just wanted to put that in for fun

Top eject or angle? In any case, i'm a big fan of 2-7x scopes on deer rifles and that would be plenty for your rifle.Maybe even a 1.5-4x or similar. Redfield revolution, luepold vx 1 or 2,burris fullfield II and nikon prostaff all come to mind right now.

He bought it 33 years ago so it can't be an angle-eject(see Win model 94AE). You don't mention having a scope mount(that's a problem for a top eject lever gun). Requires D&T for a scout scope or a side mount(may be pre-drilled). The side mount(I have a spare one) sometimes requires rotating the scope(W becomes up-down, E becomes left right=very confusing for sighting in). research first.

My brother has a Weaver side mount on his; it uses the two holes for the peep sight and replaces the screw covering the take-down pin located at the front of the action. It took some fiddling so the brass would clear the turrets. The scope had to be positioned as far to the rear as it would go. Scope was a 2 1/2x Tasco, but if I were doing it again, I'd get him a 2 1/2x Leupold compact.

My brother was left handed, and it worked well for him. All he had to do was tilt his head a bit more to the left to use it. For a right-hander like myself, it was an absolute P.I.A.... I had to move my head away from the stock which wouldn't improve anybody's shooting, and I got clunked in the forehead a few times shooting it off the bench.

Try one of these Basil Pearson scope mounts with a scout type scope (Leupold or Burris).
