Scope for AR15 - Leupold or US Optics

Which one would you choose - US Optics SN4s or Mark 4 1-3x14mm CQ/T and why?
I've heard only good about Leupold, but not sure US Optics.
Do they hold resale value? quality? something else so I should jump on or stay away from them?
Thanks!

Neither. I woould go Nightforce 1x4x24.
Less $$ than USO, not much more than the Leupy.
Other Reasons
NF is zero magnification at lowest setting so you can use it like open sights.
Reticle stays constant size regardless of power, USO is FFP so does not and lets face it on a CQB scope what are you going to range?
You can get the reticle and turrets in the same increment of measurement in all NF scopes, the Leupy is 1/4 moa turrets regardless of reticle being in milrad.

You asked:D

What Rick said. The NXS is what I would put on a rifle that could see service doing everything from active shooter scenarios (responding) to entry work and medium range shooting. Contrary to popular believ, 4x is lots of power for shooting out to 300 yards and beyond.

Have to agree with AB tactical. I use the NF 1-4x24 and its a magnificent piece of glass. great eye relief, can use it as a pure red dot and 4 power is enough out to 300M. great field of view, marginally more expensive than Leupy, much better glass cheaper than USO 99% as good as S & B short dot for $1000 less. ITs the only scope I have that allows me to shoot with both eyes open at any magnification. I can't say enough good about it. own or owned, leupold Mark 4, s&b and varios NF, Aimpoint comp M4

So, my sufferings are over and I am a happy owner of Leupold cq/t.
I clearly see the difference with my old cheap-made reddot, but unfortunately I can not compare it with NF or US Optics (yet : )
Anyway, it is a very good, solid and well built product I can not wait to test.
No problem to use both eyes.
If somebody looking for the same scope, I know that one of the members here will get them very soon for a very good price.

My understanding is that scope is legal in Canada but difficult to get from the US?

I would appreciate it if you could take some pictures, or show some results on target paper. As I would love to know how accurate it is :p
Also wondering if it has a parallax? Since it has multipul magnifications?

Also if you could tell us where we can find one I would be greatly appreciative as I may be looking for one, here is my topic where what to do is up for debate: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3903448&posted=1#post3903448

Wanted to go today, but weather sucks : (
Regarding parallax - if I understand that correctly - I point it to some place across my basement, and moved my melon left-right-up-down - and that dot does not move on magnification 1, but does move a little on max mangnification. Amount of movement on magn. x3 is about the same as my chinese scope with no magnification.
I am not sure if I can publish the name of the dude without his permission, but he reads here and most likely will post or contact you directly.
Actually, I checked a lot of stores in Ontario and nobody carried that CQ/T - some kind of restriction. Do not know why.

Hey, so it does have parallax issues, which means you gotta keep your eye and dot centered if you want your shot to be true :p

I hope he will get back to me, as I would be interested to know.

When you get a chance to go to the range please report as I would love to know what you think, maybe with some pictures to boot :)

Yea, it's hard to get your hands on them as it requires paper work to be filled out, this is due to the fact that the USA restricts movement of a lot of this stuff to foreign nations... and recently (with the wars and 9/11), Canadian's must now fill out paper work to aquire stuff like the CQ/T as well.

What is the MOA dot size on your CQ/T? 2-4??

Thanks,

A different 1-4x option, for a little less money to boot!

Ok, I've educated myself a little about parallax (and hope somebody with more experience will explain better) - and I have to correct myself - my test was incorrect, there are no parallax on that scope. Let me explain -
On multiplication 1, I tested in the basement, no parallax noticed.
But on multiplication 3 - I should test it on at least 150 meters, not 20 meters. As soon as I tried on 150m, no parallax at all as well.

Hope this time I get it right. Overall, exellent product, use standard AA battery, easy to get on target with 3MOA point on x9 and 9MOA point on x1.

Thanks for the info.
