Scope for Black Powder

I've got a Traditions Pursuit Pro, Break open i want to scope. Looking at the Bushnell Banner price range! Any suggestions!!!
Just started looking. Is the amount of recoil going to be an issue?
Anything unusual about the mounts? All i've seen were for in-line

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The weaver 418 bases are a better choice than the traditions bases,you will need high rings for a 3-9x40 scope.The banner will work for you,they are generally not bad scopes for the price and should hold up under recoil unless you get a dud scope.

I have a Bushnell 1.5-4.5 Circle X recticle on my CVA Wolf, and a Burris Fullfield II 1.75 - 5 on my TC Renegade....the Burris is Excellent, although a little more expensive than a Bushnell. I have not fired the CVA as of yet, so I guess we'll see, but it looks good....

Think "eye-relief" lest the gods of recoil brand thy brow.

IMO, A quality fixed power scope is worth more to me than a variable in the same price range. Think Weaver K series, Bushnell, etc.

You have to get all up close and personal to cheapy variables on their highest magnification. Heavy powder charges tend to sting!

id say think cheap on a scope...
i have a tradition,s lightning..
fun little gun ..
but man do they ever mess up the underside of a scope

I have a Bushnell 4x on mine. I think it was about $75.00.
