Scope for my AR

Hi everyone I'm in the market for a scope and willing to spend 500-600 dollars! Any suggestions, I know they can be very expensive. Main thing is reliability, something that won't break in six months also made in Canada or US.

Figure out the "type" of shooting you will be engaging in, then what range(s)/distance you will be shooting at. If the rifles is for 3 gun then a 1 X 6 would be ideal. Longer distances then maybe a 3 X 21 . Two makers that come to mind are Leupold and Bushnell.
