scope for new norc m14

just purchased a scope for my m14.it is a zos 10-40x56esf illuminated mil dot.
price was right at 188.00cad.
has anyone attempted to mount a zos on m14 and if so;do you have any
negative expierence in doing so.Have not heard anything about these scopes
thx for your input
 
I purchased it of ebay for 180.99 and 33.00cad shipping.
the name of the seller is FLASHCLICK.The chinese mfg is
NANTONG UNIVERSAL OPTICAL INSTRUMENTS CO.
Have not heard any reviews other than what is on ebay
customer reports.The company advertises that they make some name
brand scopes there but dont know which ones.
There is an outfit in the states called packrat and they sell them for
around 300 dollar range.Not sure if it will be good scope,but at that
price worth a try
 
Never a 10x-40x56; but for a time I did have a 8x-32x50 mounted on mine.

If you use an unmodified mount made of aluminum, you will wreck the mount.
The large and heavy scope, which has to be mounted quite high, applies too much torque to the dovetails during recoil. Even with both screws very tight, it just won't work for more than a couple of mags.
