Scope for new savage 12

My buddy just bought a savage model 12 heavy barrel stainless in 22-250. He doesnt have much money left over but still needs to put a scope on it. I think he is looking at around 300 bucks. Maybe he should just wait a month or two until he can swing a little more cash? what do you think?

Bushnell 3200 are in his price range and are good scopes.

I picked up a Burris Fullfield II 4.5 - 14 Ballistic Plex new in the box off of Ebay for under $300 with shipping and all that jazz.

tell him to wait a few months and pick up something in the $500-700 range

depends what he is shooting....targets....up to a 20x...varmints ...12x to 15 xand short range deer or such a 3x-9x will suffice....there are so many to choose from. he has the brand name choice. some can be got for the $150 range
