I just got a new Rem LVSF in .22-250 for a coyote calling, messin' around and shooting stuff fun gun. I'm thinking something somewhat on the lighter and compact side of a target scope so not to negate the lighteness and compactness of the rifle. But something that will still allow me to take advantage of the .22-250 ballistics. Something in the 4-12 to 4-16 range and around $400. What do you guys suggest? :sniper:

Check out Cyberk on here, he has some excellent values in scopes in that price range. I got a beut of a 2.5 X 10 off him, I think most or all of his scopes are 30mm though. He carries Falcon and Merlin I think, very clear and bright optics for the money, also very repeatable. Do a search in the optics forum for some reviews.

Good luck, Homesteader

go with a plain old VXII 3-9X Leupold...9X is plenty for coyotes.....the 4-12's and 4-16X's are generally a lot longer and heavier..

My LVSF 223 carries a 3-9X Leupy...never felt I needed more X's....and it doesn't "over power" (pun intended) the rifle with it's length....

Get a VX-III 4.5x14x40mm Long Range with the Boone And Crocket reticle...

load up some 55 gr bullets, and bang away,

contact Accutip, on the site here, he's got good scopes, I bought one from him, decent price aswell

I was thinking about that too. I got a VXII 3-9x40 on my Whelen that's going to stay there but I also have a new Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9X40 on my 7mm Rem Mag that I got off EE last year that hasn't seen any use. I was thinking of switching it over until I find something better.

buy a new 2-7 Leupy for the Whelen and put the 3-9 on the LVSF....simple...:)

I have a VXII 2-7 that was on my Swede but it's already on my new lightweight .260 :D. There's VXII 3-9 on EE right now at an attractive price but it's silver:puke:. I'll keep my eyes open.

Well, I compromised. I was thinking 4-12x40, you guys were saying 3-9X40 so I went 3.5-10X40 in a Leupold VXIII. :D
