Scope for Ruger #1 .303 British

If you are going to scope your Canadian Ruger #1-A in .303 British, what scope is it going to be?

I might pop one of my old 2.5-8x36 Vari X III's on mine. Or maybe a Leupold 6X

I am going to put an NECG peep sight on mine and put a vintage Weaver K2.5-1 on my Dads, but if I was to ever put a scope on mine it would be an nice Leupold vintage Alaskan 7/8" scope , these are like finding hens teeth!! wish I had a few of them as they were made to copy the famous Lyman Alaskan scopes from the first part of the 20th Century, Dale in T-Bay

fixed 4X IOR, I think, simply because I like them, but a compact anything from leupold would be alright!
For myself, Bill Leeper is doing mine up with express sights....

I wont be getting a #1 in .303 so I'd have to say no scope. But if I did it would be a Nightforce compact. Need high priced glass to match the high priced wood and steel you know.

Chances are I won't be getting one, but my personal opinion is that Cat's express sights or a peep would look great. Skip the scope.\

I like the 6 x , flows nice with the rx, and eye relief is great , which is perfect for the ruger #1 ring positions.

I'd think getting Ruger rings for that scope would be harder than finding the scope itself.

You could use ring inserts sold by Brownells.

I use them with an Alaskan on a No4(T)...

I know, but the #1 in .303 is kinda retro.

The 1.5x5 is and nice short scope that would look right on a short rifle. A bigger scope would look out of place. I have a 2x7 leup here that would work as well.
