Looking for scope for my ruger, have no ideas about them, what feature they must have? What brand names are good? Yes…I’m looking to spend only modest $ 100 not more. Just for regular plinking, 50-100 yards. If some one has any ideas, please share with me. Thank you.
Bushnell® Sportsman® .22 Rimfire Scope from asspro...is this one ok?

Don't expect great results at 100 yds with a stock 10-22. 50 yds is more like it, that said, look for a scope with a parallax made for rim-fire scopes.

The old adage "you get what you pay for" definitely applies to scopes!!!

Good luck.

That Bushnell 3-9 rimfire is a pretty decent scope for a .22. I've had one on my 10/22 for a couple of years and liked it so much I bought one for my son's Remy 597. There is really nothing between $60 and $175 that is better than this scope IMHO.

+1 on this. Paid well under $100 about a year ago; works just fine, and held zero when I took it off to experiment with a red dot sight a little while ago.

Bushnell for example center fire riflescopes under 11x are factory-set parallax-free at 100 yards; rim fire and shotgun scopes at 50 yards. Scopes of 11x or more have an adjustable objective to adjust for parallax- So in order for me to get a scope with adjustable parallax (is that what you mean?) I have to get a scope with more then 10x or 11x high power scope, so how much is this one going to cost? Do you have any particular model in mind? 100 yds with stock 10/22 is sucks for sure, you are 100% right, I tried yesterday, it’s useless.

bushnell and simmons sell 3-9power scopes with AO and they are around 85 dollars and come with rings so they aren't all too expensive, unless you consider they go for around 57$ in the states :( . i'm not sure if anyone makes them anymore, but there used to be 4x scopes with AO that i think leupold made, but i assume theyre pretty pricey.

32mm or 40mm? I'd go higher obj lens, always. Considering cost, of course. :D The bigger the better, makes for a brighter sight picture, as more light is hitting your pupil. (this is why the "exit pupil" is important in scopes and binos.)

2.5 - 10 X 42mm AO Tasco Varmint, mildot reticle....
$79 at P&D
or,
Nikon 4X40mm $125 at P&D for chicken hunting!!
I have recently installed both of these on .22's and was impressed with both(especially the Nikon;))

Bushnell Sportsmen 3x9 40mm is $ 74 (but no rings) in Wal-Mart, so cost is ok, I hold it in my hand, yes, very nice, clear and bright picture, however is in it set parallax for 100 yards? I believe this is not rimfire scope, this is deer scope according to web, do y think it will go on Ruger 10/22?
I found one by Bushnell with A/O including rings for $84 3x9 32mm so what will work better A/O with 32mm or no A/O with 40mm?

Got Bushnell, 3x9 32mm with A/O, really liked the view on 3x9 40mm, really big difference, cristal clrear pic, but it's too big and no A/O + I have to get rings for it, so I went for 3x9 32mm a/o with ring included. Thank you all.

Any idea when scope can be sighted in Toronto area? How much it would cost, any ideas? The store I got scope from don’t do sighting, so I’m on my own.

Are you asking if someone will sight your scope in for you? You can get people to do it...but it shouldn't cost more than 2 50 rd. boxes of ammo and about an hour at the range...
