Hey guys, I have a Panther LR-308 with a Bushnell 4200 elite. I'm using detachable extension top mount weaver rings. I tried to zero at 100 yrds and i was waay left. i maxed it out trying to get it on target, and was still 1/2 a foot out. should I try to switch one of the rings around? or shim it? i don't want to damage the tube.. any one got an idea?? Thanks.

I didn't have it boresighted. i will try different positions with the rings. switched, turned.. if it doesn't help i think i will get a set of leopold.

It is too bad that all bases and rings aren't set up for windage adjustments. A lot of the problems I see are from the scope being adjusted to the max in one direction. This will cause a loss of adjustment in elevation if it is all the way right or left, and will cause a loss of windage adjustment if it is cranked too high or too low(shims needed under the base).
