Scope help please

HI,
I just bought a mini 14 Target on EE that will be coming with 1" rings.
I know nothing about optics and reading stuff is confusing me more.
I would like a good optic that will allow me to sight near the .223 MPBR which is 230 meters (or so) and I will just use the clubs 200 meter range and set it there.
What are my options for a good, inexpensive scope (if that isn't an oxymoron) that doesn't come with too many bells and whistles? Just a solid performer.
I would like to spend no more than 125.00. (or is this a pipe dream)

there's a fellow in the US that ships really nice Mueller scopes for just a bit more then $125.00, which is significantly less then what you can find them for retail. I'll see if I can dig up the source and link you to it. he runs off of ebay
