I have a Browning X-bolt White Gold Medallion -- glossy wood stock with stainless barrel and bolt. I understand and agree that when it comes to choosing a scope, form follows function. I'm willing to spend +/- $1000 and am leaning towards a Leupold or Zeiss.
That takes care of "function" now I would like some opinions on "form". I originally wanted a silver Leupold scope with silver rings cause I thought it looked great in google pics. However, in person, the colour of the scope and rings greatly differed from the colour of the barrel, and each other. Didn't look too good with 3 different shades of silver. I'm not a huge fan of a black scope on a wood and stainless rifle...
With all that being said, does anyone know if a silver Zeiss scope would match better with the stainless Browning than the Leupold does? Or which mid-high end scope & rings would best match my rifle?
