scope mount and rings

i have a 700 police and need to get some rings and bases. I wanta know what i need. i know that i need to buy steel rings/base. Do i want a onr pice or 2 pice base? I would like to get rings that have 4or 6 screws a pice. What are the best ones to get? i wanta start in compatishion soon and i think i will start at 300 yards and more out to 1000 one day. so i dont mind spending a bit of money iam going to keep this rifle for a long time. get a good one piece base with 20 or 25MOA build in!!

Pick a scope to use so that you know what size rings you need. 30mm or 1".

Plus the bell size (?) so you know to get low, medium or high rings.

iam going to go with 30mm Medium rings. But who makes the best ones? i have seen rings that have 6 screws to hold the top of the ring on more screws= better? and i need a good base who makes the best ones.

i have looked into ken farrel stuff. mached base and rings. has anyone tryed this setup ? its there hardline with steel rings.
