scope mount for a Savage? need help

Hey need help i just got my new Savage FCP-K rifle but not sure what scope mount to get

do i go Leupold or weaver dove tail mounts?

any help would be great for a newbee to long range rifles.

Farrell bases- Mystic Precision. Jerry is a very knowledgeable dealer and has been very prompt, professional and efficient EVERY time I have dealt with him. TPS rings are anyone's guess depending on what height you are looking for. Try Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply in Calgary, or Brownells online.

Sorry to come off topic. Where did you get it the rifle? I want one badly.
 
Another vote for Farrell base but with Nightforce rings. I only bought the Farrell after Near blew me off. Wouldn't bother with Richard Near again despite all the other guys that give him rave reviews. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

I agree, but depending on what you want you may have to wait a while, I spoke to them last week, stock is very low as they are setting up in a larger facility. I am on a waiting list for a Rem700 LA rail
 
Do yourself a favour and just call Mystic. Tell him what you've got and he'll set you up. You'll have everything you need and still have $$$ for ammo. I put an EGW base on mine with Burris XTR rings and the system is very solid.

well the last .308 is gone from cabelas. guess im screwed. these things are like freaking impossible to find. dilligaf that rifle is hot man.
