Scope Mount for Baikal MP-18MH

I bought a Baikal MP-18MH chambered in 30-06 several years ago. I do like the rifle even though it's definitely not fancy in any way. Sadly, I seem to have reached an age when open sights are difficult. I've seen pictures of these rifles with scopes mounted.

Does anyone know what sort of base would mount on this receiver? This is a light rifle so the recoil is pretty stout. I tried mounting an old shotgun scope with the rings directly on the receiver and soon destroyed the scope due to recoil.

Any recommendations are appreciated
 
Could try one of the clamp on ones but will not be able to use open sights. I have also used a weaver t010 base on some in the past. I have also used 22 rimfire rings and drilled and tapped the scope base with a small screw and drilled a indent on the rifle where they both meet up
