There is also a 'sticky' in the Main Battle Rifles forum to browse through also on the topic.
which scope mount that doesn't require removal of rear sight and where to buy?
thank you.
If you wan't to keep the rear sight, the ARMS#18 mount (the Promag is a knock-off copy) is the way to go. I have no experience with the Sadlak, but they seem to make very good products.
Something to keep in mind with Norincos: their machining tolerances are not very good. There is a chance that the sight mount will not be properly aligned with the barrel when installed.

I've never had an arms 18 that would not mount properly on a norinco. Have had LOTS of guys bring me rifles that "they" couldn't get the mount straight on though.
Arms 18 is my go to scope mount.

I really like the new Springfield M14 rifles, with the built in scout rail.

Agreed! It's the only one I've got the confidence to show up at an ORA Sniper match with! Yup, even on a Norinco. Been there, done that! Surprised the poop out of people!
Cheers and keep helping them nooobies around here!
