I am wondering if there are any options to mount a scope on a Lee Enfield No.1 Mk.3 that has had the stripper clip ring thing (not sure what its proper name is) removed. The rifle was purchased without it and every scope mount I find and videos for mounting a scope by gunsmiths all use the stripper clip mount as one of the main attachment points.
I found a side mount that screws into the safety mount but it only works on a No.4 due to the different safety design.
Is it possible to have a gunsmith mount one on the side of the receiver?
