Scope mount rail/rings for Ruger Mini 14

Gents I need some help.....
Just picked up a mint 1992 Mini 14 Safe Queen (not sure it was ever fired).
Question is what is the best or easiest scope mounting systems recommended for these older models ?......and who supplies them ?

I do have a Mini 14 ,circa 2006.It came with the Ruger rings/bases ,so I cannot comment on what would be needed to mount a scope on yours ,and truthfully ,I thought they all came with Ruger`s bases.

I do know that this summer ,I removed the scope and bases from mine and bought a picatinny rail from Wolverine so I could mount a red dot ,worked great ! I was made by GG&G ,so perhaps you might look around and see what is needed for yours.

I`m very curious as to what you find in your case ,so please post your results.

TONS of mini 14 info at perfectunion.com, I believe the old mini 14's use a mount that is very similar to the m14 scope mounts.

I think I might have a new Weaver mount here somewhere, is your Mini blued or stainless?
