Alright, I'm a little stuck. I want to go up to 300yards

1) Scope mount - would any high rise scope mount be good enough with the front sightes on? Such as the Rock River Arms one from Questar?

2) I'm looking at Leupold 12x scopes (maybe a VX I) - or something else more suitable or purpose made for an AR?

3) Would a universal bipod be fine for stock M4?

Thanks!

1) Should be fine.
2) 12X? Why? Way too much power, unless you are going varmint hunting. Get a low powered variable hunting scope. This will keep the cost down, and will work just fine.
3) Why? A 5/30 magazine makes a good rest.

Correction, I'm looking at the 4-12x scope. The reason why I want 12x is because I tried 9x and 24x on my cousin's AR15 and 24x looked so big at 300yards and I liked and kept using it for the whole day. 9x is really good enough, but might as well do 12x since it's not much more. Consider I'm reading that people use 4x at 600m, it does sound over kill at 300m.

I rather have a bipod (or some sort of support at the front of the barrel). I don't really like balancing 5/30 mags.
