When mounting a scope, how do you Guys make sure the horizontal crosshair is horizontal to the gun ? Question applies to my BLR Lever Action,Mark V Bolt Action,760 Slide Action & 10/22 Semi.
Any of these Bore Plug in Tools work ?

Thanks Guys.

I put the gun to my shoulder & leaving the screw just snug enough to twist, pull, turn till it looks right. Then I hold it at arms length so I can look down the side of the rifle to check for verticle level while checking the crosshairs for horizontal level. When it looks good I snug up the screws & sit the gun down & walk away.
I come back in a day or two & throw the gun to my shoulder & always discover the crosshairs are off horizontal a little. I then go thru the same proceedure till I'm happy. Walk away.
I then come back in a couple days, throw the gun to my shoulder & discover the hairs are off again , I then go thru above proceedure again!
Day 5 I have discovered crosshair can & will move everyday after you sit the gun down.... F**k it good enough :D

Thanks Guys.
Looks like Grizz's previous Post pretty well covers it all.I missed it.
For me,it'll be the plumb line / vise or Level,Level,Level proceedure.
