Scope mounts

Is a .303 hard on scope mounts?I have some 3 piece weaver mounts I want to use as they are extra's in the parts bin.These are likely for a dovetailed .22 but the Enfield has a suitable rail installed.Yeah or nay.Not a bear defence gun.

Base is a Weaver TO-1, with the dovetail sized for 3/8" .22 rings? A couple of little lugs swaged up at the front for recoil shoulders? Do not use cheap lightweight .22 rings - they are not intended to withstand recoil. A set of quality rings with a good clamping setup will work.

throw a set of the B-Square rings on there. They won't break the bank and have never had a set bust loose on a 303 yet.
