I am putting a scope on my winchester 94ae. The gun came with bases, which I am assuming are the right ones and from looking at bases on Midway, seem to be right. My question is, I put the rifle in a padded base and level the barrel. When I put the bases in and put a level on them, I have to lift the front of the level about 3/8" to get the bubble centered on the level. Is this normal, I thought the scope would be on the same plane as the barrel, not angling down. Any input would be helpful.
