Is there any gunsmithing free scope mount for a Kar98a built in 1917? I was given one that was dropped in a Canadian military parker hale stock and beded. Ideally I do not want to screw around with the bolt handle but I am not sure if this bolt handle stock is bent enough for a scope or if anyone even makes a mount that would work on this rifle.

SK used to make a no gunsmithing mount. - dan

I know I can have bases put on it, was trying not to but this might be the only way to mount a scope.

I don't think I have to bend the bolt more but since it is already sporterized maybe it would not hurt to go all out.

I will see how it shoots with irons first.
